First and foremost, everyone at Cotton Bowl Speedway would like to thank Danny Bennett and his family for the awesome facility that was built to allow us to enjoy dirt track racing in our own backyard. The first race was held back in November 2012 and the checkered flag has not fallen. Danny and his family, friends and great CBS team have put in countless hours to provide the best racing surface and facility possible for us to enjoy the sport we love. Effective this past Saturday, Danny and family have stepped back due to family reasons. Danny was very open during the drivers meeting on Saturday and let the people present know of this change. Danny will be spending time focusing on his parents and his immediate family. Take time to thank Danny when you see him as he will continue to be a race competitor at the track.
The reigns have now transferred from Danny Bennett to our new promoter, Scott Stubbs. Scott has been involved with the track since its construction in 2012 and will be a great asset in this role. Scott will be assisted by his partner, Michelle Brian, who will be responsible for the items previously handled by MyLinda Bennett. Let’s welcome both of them with open arms! We are excited to continue our 2017 race season with Scott and Michelle!
